Alisha Whittington

BACP Registered Counsellor

About me

I trained at Re-Vision in North London and have a diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling.

I have over ten years' experience of working in leadership training and personal development, creating courses for cultural professionals. I am curious about people and enjoy working with them to help explore their potential, which is something I really value in the counselling relationship.

I believe that everybody should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, but understand that this can be difficult as we find ourselves caught in unhelpful, often unconscious cycles of behaviour, that no longer serve us. I will work with you to create a space where you can talk openly and without fear of judgement about what worries you. I believe that gaining a better understanding of ourselves and our motivations means that we can make more informed choices about our lives.

I work relationally which means that I take notice of what is happening between us. This is because I believe that how we relate to each other may reveal something about your relationships with other people.

I enjoy working creatively and holistically and understand that sometimes people are better able to connect to their experiences non-verbally. I may therefore work with you using imagery and drawing where this feels like it may be helpful and with your agreement.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
