Georgina Daunt

BACP Registered Counsellor

About me

I am a qualified and experienced therapist with a compassionate and down to earth approach. I work with an integrative model, which draws on different approaches depending on what supports the client best.

I have experience of a wide range of issues, including:

- Depression
- Anxiety
- Work-related issues
- Bereavement
- Post-traumatic stress
- Relationship problems
- Domestic violence
- Childhood trauma, including sexual abuse
- Unplanned pregnancy
- Pregnancy loss: post-miscarriage and post-abortion
- Separation from children
- Low self esteem
- Loneliness and isolation

I have trained at The Minster Centre, a leading institute in Integrative Psychotherapy.

As well as seeing clients in private practice I have extensive experience working in the third sector, including specialised pregnancy loss support (post-miscarriage and post-abortion) in the community and Holloway Prison. These experiences have given me the chance to work with a huge diversity of client, facing a large variety of challenges. I have continually been encouraged by the change my clients have seen in their lives through therapy - predominantly through healthier relationships with themselves and others.

As a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) I abide by their code of ethics, which includes regular supervision of my work and ongoing professional development.
