Julie Ridlington

BACP Registered Counsellor

About me

Hello, my name is Julie and I am a qualified counsellor. I am interested in working in safe ways that allow for an exploration and gradual uncovering of our uniqueness: beginning to hear our quiet voice, intuition or gut instinct that has often been buried by shame, guilt, anger, fear that ultimately prevents us from functioning in the world as we would like. Sometimes addictions or disordered eating patterns have steered us away from our truest selves. I also work with clients to explore finding meaning in life and managing transitions such as relationships ending, mid-life and getting older.

I work relationally with clients. This means working within the professional boundaries to look at how we impact each other. This awareness can help you to gain insight into how you are in the world, how you are impacted by others and how you view the world and your relationships.
Together we can go on a journey of exploration in a safe holding environment. I have made my own journey and understand that each goes at their own pace, in a confidential, safe space.
I welcome people of all sexualities and gender identities and those who are questioning how they identify.
I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor and have a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling as well as an Advanced Diploma in the use of the arts in therapy.
