Thomas Fea

BPC Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

About me

I have worked for 20 years in health and social care, in the voluntary sector and the NHS. I began my career as a youth worker. I subsequently worked for a local Mind for 17 years and finally managed a community centre for people with significant mental health problems. I now work in an NHS psychotherapy service and in private practice.

If you are reading this and thinking about psychotherapy or looking for a psychotherapist, I imagine you might be feeling stuck or worried or unhappy about your life at the moment. My experience has taught me that we need time and space to think and talk about what is troubling us. That the experience of being carefully listened to, and thought about, can bring huge relief and allow us to make profound changes to our lives. I have also learnt that there are rarely easy answers and that the best solutions are the ones we arrive through understanding ourselves and what we need better. Sometimes we just need a bit of help.

I provide a safe and confidential place for this process of understanding to unfold, and draw on my substantial experience of working with people of all ages and backgrounds to assist them in making the changes that they want to make.
